Subsoil (Bs8601:2013 tested)

The subsoil is an essential component of most soil profiles. Only soil that is shallow over rock lacks a subsoil layer. Subsoil provides storage of moisture, transmits rainfall to deeper layers or watercourses and enables deep rooting by trees, shrubs, grasses & other plants. We supply our horticultural sand as a Bs8601:2013 tested subsoil, it is readily available in big quantities and always consistent, providing the perfect starter layer for topsoil to be used on top.
